PAIRS SERIES RESULTS/ NEW UPDATES
Hey Everyone,
We had a pretty great year to sum things up! I would like to thank all the riders that attended our Finals!
Results:
Novice Division: 1st: Jada & Jazz Graham 2nd: Taylor & Sydney Schiewe
Open Divsion: 1st: Shelby Masse & Lisa McKenzie 2nd: Heather McKenzie & Ashley Schiewe
3rd: Ally Gillett & Taylor Masse
We had wonderful weather and great volunteers! It was a fabulous day!
Also keep checking back for Upcoming Clinic Dates!! I am in the midst of sorting out another great clinic for us! Once I get everything together I will announce it! It will be in the new year. I am very excited about this one.

Hello Everyone,
Hope everyone is still practicing hard, I know I am! Would like to congratulate all the people that tried out for Team Canada. The team has been selected! The following riders will be representing Team Canada at the 2012 World Team Championships in Wales and the 2013 World Team Championships in New Zealand!
We will be starting some fundraising very soon to help out Alberta riders get to Wales! Please check back soon and there will be further info.
Our first competition is coming up soon on May 27 Venue still to be decided. Hope to see even more riders attend this year! This year is going fast already, can hardly wait for the rest!

April 14-15
Hello Everyone,
Hope all got home safe after the snow storm this weekend. Our clinic with Jim Dunn was great, Thank you to Cowboy Up for hosting us again, such a wonderful arena to ride in. We also had tryouts for the Canadian team travelling to Wales and New Zeland this year! We had 6 people try out, Lisa McKenzie, Jazz Graham, Hilary Mclean, Taylor Masse and Shelby Masse. We also welcomed Kathleen Beekman from Britsh Colombia for the clinic and tryout. Wish everyone good luck and hope you are selected for the team! Our winter practices have come to a close, and soon we will be starting up our Pairs Series.

Well the weekend is over, back to the grind!
We had a great Clinic with Pola Preugel. Ponies were pushed to the limits this weekend. Racing and pass offs, the ponies took everything in stride for the first real test of the year. New ponies were tested out with only a few minor rider falls! All the riders showed great progress over the weekend! We will be putting our new tricks to the test over the next months to prepare for our Pairs Series! This looks to be a promising year for Alberta Mounted Games! With much more to look forward to! We will be continuing our scheduled practices, adding World team try-outs with Coach Jim Dunn the second week in april.
Many thanks to Pola for putting on a geat clinic! I know everyone had a great time and learned lots! I know one one thing that will stick with me is: "Mounted Games is about keeping your hand in the same spot for the longest amount of time." Applying to placing all the props/ equipment on bins, poles etc. We all learned lots and I know my muscles were pushed to the test! Much needed Advil to get on with work this morning haha..

Practice Update
We had our second practice on Sunday!
We had 9 members attend, played a variety of games, and had a great afternoon!

Alberta MGA thus far 2012
Hi All,
We have been working very hard to get a group going in Western Canada for the past few years. This year so far we are pleased to announce that we have 26 members in Alberta!
This season is looking very promising with a variety of clinics and competitions planned! Canada Mounted Games has a Super Clinic Series running right now, where Pola Preugel will be going to all 3 regions to put on clinics! This past weekend she was in Ontario. The weekend coming up she will be joining us in Alberta, then finally moving on to British Columbia before she ventures back home! We are very excited to have her out!

Alberta also has a clinic planned in June with none other than Huw Whitney and Steven Chorley. We have their flights booked and we are waiting not so patiently for them to come out west!
This year we are also putting on a Pairs Series. We've booked 4 dates so far. Hopefully adding more, possibly teams or individuals if we can generate enough interest!

How was everyones weekend? Hope everyone is practicing on there own time a bit. First club practice on Sunday! Looking forward to it! Crickett has a new clip and is getting long trotted everyday, working on her fitness :)
