Hello Everyone!

We are getting ready for our first practice of the 2016 Season.  This years first practice will be hosted by Horse in Hand Ranch in Blackfalds, AB.

Date:  February 21, 2016 @ 2-6pm

If you are new to MGA and are thinking about joining, we offer one membership free practice! After that additional practices are subject to purchasing a membership.

June 20-21, 2015 - Mounted Games Alberta Competition Series #1-2

July 11-12, 2015 - Mounted Games Alberta Competition Series #3-4

Competitions will be held at Whitemud Equine Center.

All riders must have AEF.

Hi Everyone!

Alberta Mounted Games is off to a bit of a slow start this year.  We would like to thank everyone that made it out to our booth at the Mane Event in Red Deer, AB this past weekend! We are in the process of setting up everyone's emails. We will be adding practices dates, competition dates and clinics! We hope to have another great year this year! We want you to join us!

We are please to announce our upcoming clinic opportunity! Flying Cross Ranch will be hosting this years Beginner Mounted Games Clinic.

All ages and levels are welcome to come learn about our amazing Sport. There will be a short ground session Friday June 13th evening, then regular riding sessions throughout the weekend with a fun competition to wind up the weekend on Sunday afternoon. Mane Event Demo 2014

 

 

Mounted Games in Alberta is pleased to announce that we have been chosen as a demo sport at The Mane Event in Red Deer. This is the largest indoor equine trade show in Canada and hosts some of North America's top clinicians.

Demo Times:  Friday - 2:15pm in the Morand Arena                             
Saturday - 1:45pm in the Vantage Arena 
Sunday - 10:45am in the Vantage Arena  

Our booth will be set up in the building closest to the Morand Arena. We will be streaming videos and talking to the public about our amazing sport.

Fall Pairs Final

We had a spectacular Fall Finale this year! Hosted by the Goodlife's.

We had 18 riders come out to play with 10 new riders coming out to try Mounted Games.

Update:

We had a great weekend out at Whitemud Equine Center! Pairs and Individual Championships went smooth with the help of our volunteers! We had 5 new riders come out on Sunday!

We also partook in 2 demos this weekend. Both went very well and we had some inquiries about our club! The audience loved it!

9:00am: Arrive - Help set up games field
10:00am: First Session (All Divisions)(7 Games)
12:00-12:30pm Lunch
1:00pm Second Session (7 Games)
3:00pm Finals (10 Games)

5:35pm: Demo in Main Ring! :) Please bring some pink for you and/or pony if you would like :)

UPDATE SUMMER 2013

HEY EVERYONE,


WE HAD A GREAT CLINIC WITH BRENT COUCH IN JUNE. WE FOUGHT OFF THE WEATHER ALL WEEKEND. IT WAS PERFECT. WE HAD 10 RIDERS ATTEND AND WE ALL LEARNED LOTS.

NEW CHANGES TO THE 2013 SCHEDULE

Hey Everyone, 

New dates have been set for our competitions. At the meeting some of the dates chosen were conflicting with other things. These are the new date changes. As for June 15-16 i might just switch it to the Sunday as our Clinician is unable to come out till later in the year. Also Whitemud has also been booked for Sunday May 5th @ 12:00pm for a practice, we are also having a practice Tuesday May 7th. They are charging us $30 and that is to be divided amongst those who attend.

Also Huw is looking to come out in August now, So we need to brain storm a weekend that is suitable for everyone.

UPDATE: Clinic Details

Hey Guys!

I would like to let you all know that we will be having Huw Whitney joining us again this summer for a clinic! I am just sorting out dates with him and I'll let you all know. At this point its looking to be June 22-23 weekend. For those who are new to our page and do not know him yet. Huw is a World Class Mounted Games rider from Wales. With many World and European Championships under his belt, we are very privileged to have him help us with our very own ponies and games skills. I hope that everyone can come out! It will be a great weekend once again! More details to follow.

Update!

While i was at the Stony Plain Tack sale on the weekend, we had a number of people interested in getting involved!

The next set of practices are booked: March 10th, March 24th, and April 14th @ Heatherdown Hills Arena. They have a great website with directions to get to their place. Practice starts @ 10am  :)

We are all set to attend the Mane Event again this year! The date for that is April 26-28. We will have a booth and lots more information. Looking forward to seeing you there!!

I just wanted to let everyone know that our Mounted Games group will be at the Stony Plain Tack Sale this weekend! We will be showing videos and will have more information on getting involved with our group!

We will also be headed to the Mane Event in Red Deer as well. We will have a booth there as well.
